Lisa and her son at his elementary school, standing by a tree, and smiling

Welcome to the Confessions of a Montessori Mom blog with me, Lisa Nolan of Montessori for the Earth. After 15 years on Blogger, and in 2020-ish, I archived all of my Confessions of a Montessori Mom blog posts and guest posts!

It's 2023--as I update this about page--and NOW I hang out at 'Raising Book Lovers and Word Worms' (previously called 'Montessori and Kid Lit'). It's a podcast book club where I discuss and review books about Montessori, homeschool, parenting, Waldorf, loose parts, limiting screen time, and child and brain development, as well as kid-lit, children's poetry, and MG novels. I hope to see you over there! Better yet, become a monthly, yearly, or lifetime member! It's a great way to support little ole me and my family of three (plus a barky but cuddly dog and a well-loved cat AKA fat cat), as well as my online Montessori lessons for birth to nine!

About me: I am a 3 to 6 and 6 to 9 Montessori-trained teacher with over 30 years of experience. I took my Montessori primary training in 1986 at The Maria Montessori School of the Golden Gate in San Francisco with the late headmistress, Ursula Thrush. I took my Montessori elementary (6-9) training in 1988 at The Maria Montessori School of the Golden Gate in San Francisco through the University Extension, University of California Berkeley. Lastly, I received an MA from San Francisco State University in English Literature and Creative Writing.
