Can you help my bilingual toddler with language delays?

My toddler has language delays. I guess it is because we speak Spanish and English at home.... My native language is Spanish and my husband’s is English... we researched the best way to help our toddler learn both languages: the general recommendation from a multitude of sources is “one-person, one-language”. Could you give some advice on how to help my son’s language develop?

It is true that children in a bilingual family take a little longer as they try to master two languages, and it will feel like he is delayed or slow, not to worry!
